1 Having social sensitivity and concern in community life
2 Having the attitude of independence, leadership, management, and entrepreneurship
3 Has comprehensive of the concepts, theories, principles, and applications of education science (paedagogy) in learning
4 The ability to master the concepts, theories, principles, and applications of special education (orthopaedagogy) for every type of child with disabilities in special schools as well as in inclusive schools
5 Designing and implementing curricula and learning for children in general and children with disabilities in special schools as well as inclusive schools
6 Designing and implementing specific pedagogical subject learning in special education at special schools as well as inclusive schools
7 Designing and implementing special/compensatory program services to meet the needs of students with special needs in special schools or inclusive schools
8 Utilizing supportive sciences for the development of special education
9 Designing, implementing, analyzing, and utilizing research results in the field of special education
10 The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing through various media
11 Implementing lifelong learning

The Special Education Program, Universitas Sebelas Maret (SE UNS) has established the following expected learning outcomes:

  1. Demonstrate a sensitivity and social awareness in community life
  2. Demonstrate independence and or entrepreneurship
  3. Master the theory, principle, and the implementation of education science (pedagogy) in learning activity
  4. Master the theory, principle, and the implementation of special education for every disability
  5. Master, design, and implement the special education curriculum and learning
  6. Master, design, and implement a subject specific pedagogic course in special education
  7. Master the service for special program/compensatory for special education students
  8. Master the supporting knowledge of the special education
  9. Apply their competency to design, implement, and analyze a research in special education field
  10. Communicate effectively both written and oral through various media
  11. Apply or implement the lifelong learning spirit
